HAPPY HALLOWEEN CUSHIONS

Monsters, Vampires, Witches, Ghosts, Ghouls, Bats, Spiders, Cauldrons, Spells, Curses, Fangs,  Spooky, Scary, Screaming, Howling, well I think you understand …

If you are like me then you probably have a stash full of Halloween prints that you are not quite sure what to do with.  Well I sat staring at my stash and came up with cushions, make some little cushions.  So here is what I did.

You Will Need …

Halloween Main Prints (I used up all my fat quarters)
Halloween Prints for Backing
Large Bag of filling

What I did …

Take your choice of backing fabric and lay this right side up on your cutting board.

Take your choice of main fabric and lay this right side down on top of your backing fabric.

Now, cut out a shape for your cushion, be sure to fit in the pattern of the main print.

Sew a quarter inch seam all round the edge of three sides of your cut fabric, when you get to the fourth side be sure to leave a gap which will leave you enough room to turn the cushion out the right way and allow you to stuff it.

Before turning out the right way, give your seams a press, I pressed mine open so that the cushions sat flatter.

Now, turn out the cushions and stuff until you are happy.

When you have finished stuffing the cushion, sew up the remaining gap and there you have your first Halloween cushion.
