To make this warm soft snugly Christmas lap quilt all you need is a Christmas Panel and a Fleece Blanket.

Oh yeah, and a sewing machine!

You won’t even need much time, this quilt took me about two hours in total from start to finish.

You Will Need …

Christmas Panel Print
Fleece Blanket that is wider and longer than your panel
Matching Machine Quilting Thread

To Put It Together You Will Need To …

Spray baste your Christmas Panel to the back of the Fleece Blanket slap bang in the middle of the Fleece Blanket.

Now take the edge of the Fleece Blanket and it in to the edge of the Christmas Panel just so that you are covering the raw edge.

Now using a zigzag stitch machine quilt all around these edges so that you now have a fleece backed Christmas Panel with Fleece all around the sides.

Now machine quilt as you normally would around the Christmas Panel design.

I continued in the zigzag stitch when doing my machine quilting.

Finally create a quilt label and appliqué it in place.

Now you are free to continue with your other Christmas preparations—like opening your presents!
